Saving Aimee We’re The Good Guys
After an appearance at Underage under their belts and several mentions in Kerrang et al, it seems that the time is right for the St Albans-based 6-piece to adorn the walls of teenagers and desktops of business women and men everywhere. Hold fire though – I think it might take a bit longer before world domination kicks in. This is NOT a great single to my ears, it’s just OK.
A selection of remixes greets the buyer, all seem to sound the same as each other and I remain unconvinced that they are needed at all. C.R.A.S.H. do the best job on what is a fairly ordinary song, turning it into a full-on 8-minute clubathon that sounds a tad like Chicks On Speed…well, until the singing kicks in. The Josh Go Audio version sounds like Alphabeat and we need another cheesy squeezy keyboard-sound like we need a lawnmower on a motorway during the holiday season.
I don’t know – is it me or does everything sound the same at the moment? This isn’t a bad record, sorry kids, download, but it just doesn’t have any heart and soul, any passion or anything other than a tiny bit of strop and roll about it. The download bundle features a free poster – oh joy.
